The elderly care industry is a competitive and expansive business in the state of Florida. Finding assisted living or memory care facilities is an emotional and expensive process for the family. Fortunately, there are good options in the state, but also some lacking ones. I will review the latter: The Brennity at Tradition in Port Saint Lucie. If you are taken by its public area furnishings, landscaping, and promises of top-level care, PLEASE READ THIS. I would summarize our experience as: Maximum Promises, Minimum Delivery. The elderly care industry is a competitive and expansive business in the state of Florida. Finding assisted living or memory care facilities is an emotional and expensive process for the family. Fortunately, there are good options in the state, but also some lacking ones. I will review the latter: The Brennity at Tradition in Port Saint Lucie. If you are taken by its public area furnishings, landscaping, and promises of top-level care, PLEASE READ THIS. I would summarize our experience as: Maximum Promises, Minimum Delivery. Beware of the ‘Top-Level Care Plan’. We removed our loved one after only 4 days! If your loved one needs consistent assistance every day with undressing and dressing, brushing teeth and mouth-washing each morning and night, showering, help getting in and out of bed, and help preparing food bites then - DO NOT GO TO BRENNITY. If your loved one needs consistent help toileting several times per day, changing elderly underpants, good hygiene after toileting then - DO NOT GO TO BRENNITY. If you want your loved one to reside at a facility that somewhat understands his/her condition/dementia/malady and knows how to deal with those conditions as promised, then - DO NOT GO TO BRENNITY. If your loved one sometimes opts for meals in the room, beware that the meal will come sometimes incomplete, in a Styrofoam container with plastic utensils and arrive cold. If you don’t want this then - DO NOT GO TO BRENNITY. If your loved one requires a consistent, committed level of supervision, care, engagement, and overall concern from the nursing staff then - DO NOT GO TO BRENNITY. We will compliment the helpful and congenial dining room staff, as well as the Physical Therapy team. Overall, there was a disconnect between the care represented during the admission process and the care being delivered. After 4 days including concerning emails and a meeting, we felt that The Brennity was not the appropriate environment to adequately meet our loved one’s care and supervision needs. JUST BEWARE.
I was very impressed with my visit to The Brennity. The facility is very clean and the staff is super friendly and accommodating. My family member was very difficult and Alex was was there to assist in any way he could. My family also had lunch in the dining room and the food was great. This facility is very lucky to have people like Geraldine & Alex working with them!!

My mom and I toured the community today and we had a great experience. I want to give a huge thank you to the Sales Counselor, Alex, for providing an amazing tour and making us feel welcome; and the DELICIOUS treats!
Would give zero stars if possible. The cottage upon move in was not and still not connected to hot water. Multiple requests made. Plumber came and the sink is not connected to the drain! Water under the cabinet still. Poor work ethic, nothing gets done, not sanitary. How was this inspected upon move in? This is not acceptable and very disappointed. Don’t move here!
My family recently had to make the very difficult and painful decision to place my father into a memory care facility. We were overwhelmed, frightened, and grieving when we began exploring placement options. And then we met Alex. During our first visit, he patiently answered my list of over 60 questions, and treated us with immense compassion and respect. Brennity itself is a beautiful place, classically styled and beautifully maintained. It looks and smells clean, with no hint of medicinal odor, even on the memory care ward. When it was time to move my father in, Alex, Darlene, Mayte, and the memory care staff were all incredibly helpful, communicative, and supportive. Their kindness, organization, and attention to detail made the process of bringing my father to Brennity - one of the most difficult things I've ever had to do - go smoothly and well. Since moving in, I've received regular calls, texts messages, and photos and videos of my father from Mayte. He is thriving there, and the level of individual attention and support he is receiving is beyond what I had hoped for. I can't recommend Brennity at Tradition enough. For my family, the staff are angels on earth.

What a wonderful place to live! I’ve been here for over a decade and it only gets better each year!!! I am so happy I made the decision to become part of this amazing neighborhood. This year was exceptional - I’ve never seen such a special group of people <3
