Orlando Health & Rehabilitation Center

My mother was sent there for rehabilitation. 3 days later she started ahowing signs of a urinary tract infection,3 days after that she still was not started on antibiotics, i called to apeak to her nurse and the nurse said she had to many patients to know who was who. We arrived to find her in a hallucinogenic state due to the progression of her UTI, her O2 was off her face and when i asked them to check it her O2 was 72 so they hooked her up to a big tank and a face mask amd put her on 10 liters when she is only supposed to had 2 liters. Her bed was soaked and her bedaide potty chair had BM all over it. With in 2 hours we had her moved to the hospital where they said her O2 was dangerously low and her UTI had gotten so bad the she had to be under contact precautions. If you care for your loved one do not choose this facility. We were there everyday and asking questions and never getting results.

My mother has been here for years. All of the staff from front door to nurses station are very nice and concerned for their patients. Being at this stage of life is hard enough but all staff is so very sweet to my sometimes not so sweet mother. They have always been so. I don't see or experience the negativity in other reviews. These people, especially the nursing staff are angels to me.

My mother was on Medicaid, so it was not the greatest possible situation that I would have liked, but Orlando Health & Rehab was as good as we can get. Most of the staff that I encountered was very nice and very caring. Her room was adequate, and it was clean enough. I was moderately happy with it, and if money is a problem, as it was for my mother, it would be a good choice for those who cannot afford anything better.

My mother has been in this place few weeks and I can't wait to transfer her to real nursing home. This place is the worse place I never haven't seeing before, just on the news. If the patient can't eat by themselves, they don't help them, if they eat find if don't too bad. I have found dirty clothes on a bag with clean clothes. The nurses look for their medication record to verify if this patient has any allergist. My mother went out of the hospital and was sent to this place after two days, she had fever and I had to ask the nurse to take her the temperature and the nurse asked me why also I found out that my mother needed to keep taking to avoid infections and the nurse hasn't even look the medical record to see if she need to keep taking any medications. The government or who ever is the agency to audit this place should close it immediately. There just few employee that make the different and is for them my mother still alive until I can transfer her out of there and I hope been asap. Stay away from this place.

My grandmother is a resident at this facility and was hit in the head by another resident at the facility causing her to need ER attention. That is not care that families expect for family members. We are very upset, especially since staff don't want to say what happened. However, my grandmother stated a man came into her room and hit her over the head with bottle, causing her head to split open. Family was not called until staff attempted to clean up the blood, leaving bloody towels in the sink.
