RythmTrail loved performing at HarborChase Dr. Phillips in Orlando Florida today. Joyful residents, friendly staff, and a lively Caribbean dinner made the atmosphere truly unforgettable. You can’t fake caregiving, you’re either cut out for it or you don’t. The staff here are really amazing, they enjoy what they do.

Caution: HarborChase of Dr. Phillips Assisted Living My parents lived here for 41 days (Aug 15–Sept 25, 2025). After I filed a complaint, the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) issued a 48-page Statement of Deficiencies citing failures including not following physician orders and medication-related deficiencies. These findings are public record. During those 41 days there were three different Executive Directors (DJ, Tammy, and Heather). The Head of Maintenance (Luis) also left. When I moved my parents out, I confirmed a zero balance. Our sales agent had represented one free month. After move-out, Katherine Schachter (Regional Director of Operations) and Mark McBride (Chief Operating Officer) provided written assurances regarding credits and refunds. However, full billing statements were not provided until February 26, 2026 — five months later — they overbilled my parents by THOUSANDS for their 41 day stay. After my parents had already moved out, we received two phone calls delivering the same recorded message from Heather (Executive Director) identifying by first and last name an Independent Living resident who had died by suicide. This automatically played on my Bluetooth with minor children present. I reported this as a potential privacy concern. Based on our documented experience, I do not recommend HarborChase of Dr. Phillips Assisted Living. Nice fake response to our review. You overcharged my elderly parents for THOUSANDS. According to your contract all refunds will be paid 30 days after move-out. We are 5 months moved out and the promised refunds were never given. I had to BEG for invoices 5 months after move-out. Add the 48 page of violations because you medically messed up their care. How do you feel being CAUGHT?? You violated your contract!!! Overcharging by thousands and 48 pages of medical care violations. I am local and WARNING all of my neighbors and friends.. BUSTED by state regulators- busted by our family.

Pop up dinners by the main restaurant are a wonderful way to travel around the world without leaving home. I really enjoyed this evening’s Turkish dinner. Chef Patel really outdid himself. It was a nice way to spend a Sunday dinner. Sunday pop up dinners continue to be special. This passed Sunday we “visited” India. The restaurant was decorated with colorful scarfs on the tables. A man played the sitar and the waitstaff was dressed in classic Indian garb. The meal started with lentils soup. There were 6 different entrees including butter chicken and lamb shank. For desert there was a milk “pudding” with chopped pistachios on top. It was a lovely evening.

This place may look like a luxury senior living facility, but behind the glossy brochures and inflated price tag is a complete management failure. Management (Heather) is dishonest and incompetent. Once contracts are signed, accountability disappears, concerns are dismissed, and communication becomes evasive or nonexistent. The food is embarrassing. For what residents are paying, meals should be fresh, nutritious, and enjoyable. Instead, food is consistently poor quality, poorly prepared, repetitive, and often served lukewarm. Calling it “dining” is generous at best. Activities are subpar and uninspired. There is little effort to provide meaningful, engaging, or enriching activities. What’s advertised is rarely delivered, and residents are often left bored, disengaged, and overlooked. Housekeeping is inconsistent and careless. Cleaning standards are unacceptable for a so-called upscale facility. Rooms are missed, details ignored, and basic cleanliness feels optional rather than guaranteed. Many employees appear disengaged and lazy. There is a noticeable lack of urgency, compassion, and professionalism. Residents deserve attentive care and respect—not staff who act inconvenienced by doing their jobs. For the outrageous cost, this place delivers none of the quality, care, or integrity it claims to offer. Families trust facilities like this with their loved ones—and that trust is repeatedly broken here. Save yourself the stress, disappointment, and financial regret. Run. Don’t walk. Away.

One of Harbor Chases amazing waitress is Briana Leahey, she treats all the residents with such kindness and respect, they all love her, she is a true asset to the restaurant staff.
