Back in the 1940’s my minister dad would sometimes take me on his rounds to visit parishioners in what was then called “a home for the aged.” In the decades since, I visited family and friends in various communities throughout our country. After my husband died, it became my time to choose. I explored worthy senior communities in Pennsylvania and in the Tampa Bay area, so that when I walked into the front lobby at Westminster Manor and overheard the warmth and respect in how a resident and staff person spoke with one another, I trusted my sense that I had just stepped into my right place. I appreciate the details: a respectful and thoughtful front desk staff, a responsive and capable maintenance team, a creative and caring food service and dining team, a spirited “lifestyle” team, our nurse, our chaplain, and regular meetings and social gatherings that include administrative staff and residents. I can readily visit with a friend in our Memory Care facility at Point Pleasant, and I trust that open, honest communication will nourish our lives day to day.
We moved into our Villa at the Manor, Westminster Bradenton, six years ago. We have a lovely little house, and an ample yard where our dog can play and we can garden. We enjoy being here and our son and daughter are relieved, knowing that we are well taken care of and are enjoying our life here. We moved into our Villa at the Manor, Westminster Bradenton, six years ago. We have a lovely little house, and an ample yard where our dog can play and we can garden. We enjoy being here and our son and daughter are relieved, knowing that we are well taken care of and are enjoying our life here. The reasons are many: supportive and caring professional medical care, excellent food, friendly staff, a wide variety of exercise possibilities, and activities ranging through the arts and education. But the best part of it is that the residents here are delightful and interesting. We often say to each other that this is the best decision we ever made.

My wife and I have been members of the Manor neighborhood for almost three years. I can say without hesitation that this was the exact place we should be at in our stage in life. I heard so much chatter that the staff was warm and personal. Everyone says that about their place, right? Well, we can honestly say the personnel and staff are genuinely warm and personal. They take a felt interest in our concerns and needs. It is amazing. With our budget, we decided to live in the mobile home park. We are very happy in our place. We have a beautiful full kitchen, two bedrooms, and 1 1/2 bathrooms with a washer and dryer. Furthermore, we have not had a speck of damage in the last few years of hurricane season. We decided to be on the one meal plan. We enjoy our lunch every day in the dining room. The fellowship, activities, and camaraderie are excellent. My wife and I can wholeheartedly recommend this place to any senior looking for an independent or assisted living lifestyle. You will not be disappointed.
Moved here due to husband's illness, they had all the features needed for continuing care...health center, memory care, etc. Although the Health Center closed here, it was still available at Point Pleasant. The staff was always available to help me when needed. After he died, their support was greatly appreciated.
Oh, OK. I was asked. Do I like living here? Yes, I like it very much. There’s a wonderful lady here. That helps you with your phone problems. Computer problems. Any other problems? People are friendly. Couldn’t have a better place. Thanks for listening bye.
There are so many things we love about life at the Manor. One of the daily things is the wonderful food we have. We rarely go "out" to eat because we have such great meals every day. It's like eating at a 4 star restaurant with a family atmosphere. After church on Sundays, we don't say to our friends, "Let's go to Ruby Tuesdays to eat." We say, "you guys come on and eat with us at our place (the Manor)." Hard to beat! But the food is just one praise-worthy aspect of Westminster Manor living. The best thing for me is the close-knit family-ness of the residents as well as the residents and staff. When you walk in the front door, you can actually feel the warmth of the family. After 16 years here, we still feel truly blessed every day to have the opportunity to finish our earthly journey at a place like the Manor.
I have lived at the Manor for ten years. I've enjoyed my life here. We are truly like one big family. So grateful I chose the Manor.
