3.0 · 5 reviewsI toured Valdes Retirement Home. The rooms are not very nice. They're old and the room that he would have had I guess wasn't finished. The staff was very good. The house needs to be fixed. I know that they're going to fix that room that I saw that I didn't like, but it wasn't at the time.
I went to Valdes Retirement Home. They didn't even know I was coming to visit, the two women there didn't speak English, and I was told there would be a nurse on staff, but there was no nurse. The rooms are shared, I wasn't expecting that, and it was a place to die. My mom would not go to a place like that. I spoke to the staff, they spoke Spanish, they were fine, nice and polite. It's just two of them living in a house with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. And those two are the ones who prepare the meals. And I would imagine they take care of the people there. It was a rundown house.
This ALF is terrible and I would not leave an elderly with them. my aunt was there and she was treated very poorly. The food was not properly prepared and I know their were no activities.

My tour at Valdes Retirement Home was very great and they're very friendly. Aside from that though, they had the equipment, they had the facility, great approach, it's very clean and sanitary. And overall, it's a very safe community and a safe neighborhood. Aside from the language barrier, the person who gave the tour was great.
My mother moved into Valdes Retirement Home. Location is one thing, but mainly we chose it because the owner who lives out there was extremely helpful and compassionate in the process of it all. She's been there just under a week and I am happy with the services -- I am happy with the place. The staff are very nice, very helpful, patient, and compassionate.
