Silver Treasures at Lane Ave

I went to Silver Treasures at Lane. The appearance outside was very lovely and clean. It was locked and so I rang the bell, and then the administrator came to the door and let me in. She was very polite, very kind, and very nice. The place was wide open, spacious looking, clean, and decorated beautifully. She took me to see some of the rooms, and they were lovely, too. Everybody had it uniquely decorated as if they were in their own home. Everybody had a different vibe or different feel, it was lovely. Some people were sitting at the table talking, and some people were walking around. I saw a therapist coming to give therapy to a patient. The administrator was so forthcoming. She had a book with information, and she explained stuff to me. The people that were there were lovely. They talked to me, and they said, 'I'll get my hair done and my niece is coming to do my hair.' They're very friendly people. I just thought it would be a very pleasant place for my brother. We just couldn't afford it, and that's it. The staff seemed to care about the people there. The place was calm, but it was bustling a little bit with people doing different things and stuff. It had a clean environment. The parking lot was a good size, and you can pass easily, which is important, too. It is secure. The door was locked, and the people were safe there. I just like it very much. It was very impressive.

We have a family member who is being cared for at this facility. We recommend this facility as the staff takes care of u r loved as if he or she is their own family member. Ms. Karen who is the director and Ms Lucy who takes care of the residents are kindhearted and really care about the residents. Ms Karen is great at communicating with us to ensure our loved one gets effective care. This facility is more like family than a nursing home.

Silver Treasures @ Lane is a fantastic Assist Living. My Mom has been a resident for about 2 years now. They take great care of all their residents. They treat you like family. All the team members are well trained and knowledgeable with many years of experience. There are many activities and services provided for their residents. The facility’s Director Caren is the best! Also Caregiver and Chef Miss Lucy is fantastic, she takes great care of mom. I highly recommend!!

Silver Treasures at Lane was the answer to my prayers. My 88 year old mom had a very serious and sudden medical issue. She was unable to care for herself and I was unable to care for her on my own. Silver Treasures Assisted Living provides a clean (very clean), safe, and family oriented environment. Residents are encouraged to take part in activities designed to provide an interesting and enriching experience, which are tailored to each resident's needs. If my mom needs assistance she has a wearable 'help' button and someone responds immediately (I mean FAST - usually within 90 seconds to 2 minutes FAST). The staff speaks to my mom like she is a person, not an object (she was in a nursing home for a few weeks just after the hospital and it was bad!) But at Silver Treasures my mom is treated with respect and dignity. The staff keeps me informed when I can't be there and welcomes my visits - even inviting me to sit and eat dinner with my mom sometimes. The chef (and yes, I said chef) Lucy is amazing. She can tailor pretty much any meal to each resident's requirements - (i.e. soft foods, low sodium, etc.) and preferences (not-smooshy veggies, rice instead of pasta, etc.) and everything is cooked in a healthy manner and nothing comes from cans. Lucy could open a restaurant - that is the quality of the food she serves. The facility is small enough that each resident is given personal attention - again tailored to the needs of the resident - from full-time round the clock care, to 'checking' in on those who are more independent but still need assistance sometimes. Silver treasures takes the safety and security of their residents seriously and it is obvious they regard their residents as family. If I can't visit every day, I don't worry because my mom is in good hands. And when I do visit I am also treated like part of the family. The team at Silver Treasures can't be beat. If a family member needs assisted living options - I can't recommend Silver Treasures at Lane, and Caren (Administrator), Lucy (Chef), and Marlene (Nurse) and ALL the other staff members enough.

I've had mom placed in Silver Treasures at Lane for the last month. I was impressed. It was clean. It had no odors about it at all. When I wanted to speak to a resident, the owner walked away and allowed me to have that conversation privately, which impressed me because I felt they had nothing to hide. They were very accommodating and worked with me. It was a great experience. The staff is excellent and very attentive to the residents. They're always doing something with the residents. They have them outside, maybe doing an activity or they may be working on some physical therapy-type stuff. They're wonderful. The food and the chef are amazing. They have some puzzles and books. There was a lady that I saw working outside and her family member had brought her a piece of fleece to tie a knot to make the blanket and the staff was helping with that. They have the TV in the entryway going all the time with music, sometimes game shows and things like that. When I went over to look, they had the room staged and they had furniture in there. They moved that out, and I brought my mom's own things. I am going to buy her a small refrigerator for her room, but there was one in there and they have left it for her to use until I buy hers. They have a screened, closed-in back porch, then they have a front patio that runs along the front of the building where they have rocking chairs and tables. They just opened, so they're brand new and they only are going to max out at 32 residents, which I think for any family that was a selling point. I didn't need to worry about 150 residents because they get left behind when you have that many, plus your cost are higher. After all, you have to hire people to try to cover that. The size of the facility was a big selling point for me as well. They can have pets. They have three different sized rooms up to a two-bedroom. My dad spent years in three different nursing homes. I went in with this mindset and when I walked in there, it took everything away. They always have time to talk with you. They let you be in charge, too, of what's going on and they try to work with you.
