Shell Harbor Retirement Community

The new computer system for all of RLC is definitely not an enhancement to daily living in the RLC Communities. It is apparent to us, the residents at Shell Harbor, that there was NO consultation with RLC residents or staff as to what was needed, what worked, what didn't work, what needed to be changed, or what worked fine. Some IT engineers (or group) decided, based on their lack of knowledge and experience living in an RLC community, have made decisions about the new system which do not enhance, but make our daily lives more difficult. For example, we knew on Saturday evening what the next week's movies were, who had birthdays or anniversaries on what day, and we could plan accordingly. Not any longer! ALWAYS solicit input from end users and support staff before designing replacement systems. ALWAYS test, test, test before releasing a new system. Obviously, none of this was done. I believe RLC has a good corporate model. We have been very pleased with most aspects of life at Shell Harbor since we took up residence almost 19 months ago, but this new computer system has forced most residents here to take a giant step backwards. Sorry folks, that is not progress or change for the better.

Since becoming Residents of Shell Harbor in October of '24, we've had such great experiences! My wife LOVES ❤️ the No meal planning, NO Cooking & No Clean Up and the kitchen staff & servers are excellent! Meals are always top notch! My wife is now Leading Crafting Classes twice a month & is in her element!! We've made several new friends which is also awesome! I've traveled using the availability of the Guest Suites at two other resorts in Las Vegas!! It was awesome!! Everything went smoothly with no hiccups! There's plenty of great activities to keep us all busy during the week and theme's a strong veterans group here also with great activities!

I came here today as a private caregiver for a patient and I love this place. Very amazing service activities,food, this list goes on! I’m so happy to see a place like this that caters to residents on the community. Let’s not even get started on the scenery 😍 this place is beautiful

I toured the place with 2 of my kids. I am looking forward to the day I retire and move into this place.

I toured Shell Harbor Retirement. It was so luxurious and beautiful and a fantastic place. They had everything. I was very impressed. The managers live on the property. It was almost like staying at a five-star hotel. Everything was brand new. It's so expensive. The kitchen was unbelievable, but the only program there was breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which were all included. The food was fabulous. However, they should have another alternative, like an apartment with a kitchenette. The staff was amazing, and he loved his job. He was there with me the whole time. We even had lunch together. He took me on the tour and knew everything about the place. What impressed me was that wherever we moved around this beautiful facility, he knew everybody by name. If I had the money, I would move there.
