Wonderful community with caring staff who genuinely go above and beyond for their residents. The facility is clean, welcoming, and provides excellent care. Highly recommend!

Seagrass has everything that you want and hope for when you're trusting someone else with you're family. Seagrass staff are very kind, they truly care about the residents and their happiness and well-being, and they treat each resident as they would a member of their own family. Seagrass is always very clean and the outside is well-kept! They have fantastic entertainment options for residents like a large pool by the back patio along with nice patio furniture, some rocking chairs on the front patio, games, a bar area separate from the dining room, and they host several events with food, drinks, and live music! Seagrass is a beautiful property with wonderful staff, and is highly recommended!

Seagrass Village is a well run ALF where the residents are the heart of the facility. The staff is caring & their focus is on making each day a great day for each of the residents.

This is a beautiful community, residents seem to be happy, the food is great, the staff is very professional.

We thought we had made a good decision moving our mom here in May 2024, but we were wrong. 1) Within a few months of mom living there, in the middle of the night, she fell in her bathroom. She was afraid to wear the fall alert necklace that Seagrass gave her because it had accidently gone off 2x in the middle of the night while sleeping and she had staff come in her room in the middle of the night to make sure she was ok. There is a fall alert string to pull in the bathroom, which she pulled repeatedly to no avail. For hours she lay on the floor of her bathroom in the middle of the night. Finally, she had the strength to crawl to her bedroom and get her cell phone to call for help, which came. Apparently, when she moved in, no one at Seagrass bothered to check the battery in the bathroom help alert. 2) Mom was locked out on her patio. The type of lock on the patio door was the kind that if the lock button was pushed in on the doorknob, it locked you out. We didn't know this. Thank goodness mom had her cell phone with her on the patio so she could call for help and get back into her room. The lock was changed immediately so this couldn't happen again. 3) In Dec. of 2025, mom was admitted to the hospital for dehydration and Afib. When she was released the attending doctor signed an 1823 form which stated that mom needed help with administering her medication (not knowing she had a capable daughter that gave her medication each week). So now we had to pay Seagrass another $350 a month to give her medications. Over the course of 3 months the med techs gave her medications there were 3 incidents that caused our family tremendous concern. The 1st time (Feb. 9, 2026) we were told that her Thyroid medication (unithroid) was not in the bldg because the pharmacy didn't ship it. I called pharmacy and they said Seagrass was wrong, and provided proof it was in the bldg. Then we were told by Seagrass yes the Unithroid was in the bldg but the med tech didn't know levothyroxine was the generic name of the medication and so she didn't give my mom the medication. 2nd time (Feb. 15, 2025) they just flat out forgot her thyroid med and my mom took a photo of the meds that were brought to her and thyroid was missing. 3rd time (Feb. 16, 2026) Forgot thyroid med again so my mom took a photo of what meds were given to her in the morning and Seagrass said my mom took the photo After she had already taken the thyroid med, then Seagrass conceded that yes they didn't bring thyroid first thing in the morning but got it to her after they realized their error and it was brought to my mom within 30 minutes. Another issue was the time of day the meds were being administered. Seagrass was bringing meds at 6 am in the morning when my mom was still asleep and hadn't eaten yet; several meds, including vitamins need to be taken AFTER a meal. But that's not convenient for Seagrass so there's that... Also, when my mom would say she needed to eat before taking her meds, the med tech would just hand her pills and just leave. How is that any different than my mom using a pill dispenser labeled morning noon evening and night? Same thing but now Seagrass gets to charge $350 a month for this service where they forget meds and wake residents in the early morning to hand them meds. After weighing the cost of the 1 bedroom $5800 coupled with the added fee of $350 ($6150) we decided to move our mom to a better community. It was extremely expensive to move her and very inconvenient to move her but in retrospect we're glad we got her settled in a much safer place.
