I'm very happy. Everyone who works here seems to be very caring and understanding. Ms. Christine Quick is very happy they treat her like Family

In a place like this, there are supposed to be patient people—nurses—but some of them don't know the meaning of patience or compassion toward people who are sick and in pain. If you have a family member—a husband, a sick loved one—there, my recommendation is to keep a close eye on them. The nurses don't really look after them; they leave them lying in a urine-soaked bed for hours, and if they ask for help, the staff pretend not to understand and take their sweet time changing or caring for them.

I arrived to take my friend to the hospital and was unable to get her in the car, the Risk manager was out front and attempted to help but we were unable to get her in the car, I was informed she would have to pay to be taken by the facility due to her Medicare was changed to traditional Medicare. If someone had asked me months ago to recommend them I would have. Not now. My sister had been in their rehab once before having suffered a brain bleed because a doctor did not prescribe a blood pressure medication for her. She had a stroke and then other issues with her right hip. This last stay I got a call from a nurse telling me she thought my sister was having a stroke. I asked why and she gave symptoms. The paramedics arrived and when they did my sister's blood sugar was 25. The paramedics found it; the nurse never checked it. The ER was furious. My sister could have died. Having been in their rehab before they knew from previous medical she was diabetic. She was released this second time from her almost 100 day stay. Home health care noted two pressure sores on her backside. I reported this to rehab. She was heavily drugged on antipsychotic meds--one for moderate depressive disorder, the other for anxiety. She had a stroke and THAT is why she sometimes got confused. I am her POA. There was no communication to me to ask my permission. She was so doped up she didn't know where she was. The rehab missed from blood work and/or failed to tell me that her thyroid was very underactive (my sister has a noted medical history of underactive thyroid). They did nothing. Neither did they tell me her vitamin D was way too low nor did they do anything about a high A1C--all that was caught by the stellar medical team AFTER her release. I complained about these issues. The administrator did not have time to hear my complaints but instead I got routed to the admissions gal who took the complaints. Upon release from this rehab she was NOT sent home with blood pressure medicine. When I inquired why I was told her blood pressure was too high. She just exhibited to ER with BP 221/99 and was hospitalized. She was throwing up. Rehab told me they did abdominal scan but didn't mention any problems. Hospital did same scan just weeks apart only to find my sister was heavily impacted in the upper quadrant of her bowels and they noted that had been there a long time. My sister has 11 days left on her rehab but the hospital said administrator Samantha refused, said no she couldn't come there citing 'family dynamics". I guess this means she can't come there because they don't want to do anything about the problems created. One time my sister sat in her pee for hours before she could get a nurse to change her and it was verified by her roommate. Take care of your loved ones. Know your rights (you have them!) Do your research and protect the people you love. This is no way to run a rehab and/or skilled nursing facility. I can say my sister deserves better and so does the loved ones of anyone reading this post. It is December 2025. My sister noted in an earlier review was on the wait list for long-term care prior to my review. I also filed a state complaint because my sister's blood sugar dropped to 25 and was not checked @ the rehab and would have died has it not been for the paramedic and the hospital ER. I was told today that Samantha the administrator removed my sister from the wait list because of my Google review and my state complaint. The complaint is legitimate and documented and reviews help other people make wise decisions. The proper way to handle this is an open dialogue to fix problems and not to deny help for someone who is very ill. Not a good way to do business. An added note. Hayley from admissions sent me a very specific text stating Samantha the Administrator took my sister off the long-term care wait list because of my Google review and state complaint. The issues with my sister's blood sugar going to 25 where she could have died are very well documented by the Santa Rosa Medical Center ER who also called the rehab when my sister exhibited there and it is also documented by the paramedic who saved my sister's life. All other medical concerns I spoke about are heavily documented. My phone calls over their request have been ignored as of April 16, 2026

This place is a JOKE. It's very outdated. Rooms are small and dirty. My family member has PTSD from their stay here. The CNA'S are loud and rude they race up and down the hallways at night. Yelling and screaming like their nuts. They don't give the call lights to the residents. As you'll see in the pictures. The NURSES carry around medication and take it into other rooms as they do med pass. Leaving the med cart at nurses station. Dropping used lancets and leaving them lay. As you'll see in pictures. I would rather not leave a star but you have to to rate the place ggrr.

Samantha, is the Administrator for this awesome rehabilitation center. Love and help pours out as soon as your are admitted. Kelly, and Natalie were our nurses, and Ronda kept everything spotless. My dad just checked out after his second visit there. When you are offered rehabilitation in the hospital, please look these guys up, even if it is not close. It's going to be worth it. Thank you!!

I wanted to give a shout out to Ashlee and Reka at this facility. They have given my dad OUTSTANDING care even though he can be a tad difficult. Thank you guys SO much!!

Love all the folks at Santa Rosa. My loved one has been there just over 2 1/2 years and I’m so glad we were able to get her into this facility. It is an older facility but the maintenance and cleaning folks take good care of the place. The food is good, the activities people work so hard, front desk (Erica) is great. Rehab and wound care folks are great, social workers work so hard. Doctor, nurses and all their support staff are great. The administrator Samantha is always accessible as are the other administrative folks. Their doors are pretty much always open when they’re on site. My family member doesn’t necessarily choose to participate in group activities but staff do a great job of bringing things to her. (She loves the regular pet visits!). I do believe the scope of what they are responsible for providing to their residents is staggering but somehow they deliver . Oh, the inner courtyard is quite a treat too!
