Poinciana Gardens Senior Living Community

Nice 55 + community with an assisted living unit on the 3rd fl. Everyone I've met here is friendly and helpful.

Two of my friends live there on the assisted living floor. One of them has lung issues and his room reeks of mildew and the air in there is damp. Staff did not seem overly concerned when I reported it. A nearby hall smells of urine. There are numerous and large water stains on the carpets in the hallway. This building is only a few years old and shouldn’t be having these issues. I, personally, would leave Key West if this were my only option for eldercare.

I visited the independent living at Poinciana Gardens. They also had assisted living there. I liked the location. The staff was very cordial and very helpful. The apartments were adequate. The amenities were limited, but I'm not looking for a lot of amenities. They had a dining room and they serve three meals a day. You can eat in the dining room if you want or bring it back to your room. It's very convenient. There's transportation close by. There's a bus stop right down the street, and they provide transportation to the doctor. They're very helpful. I'm considering it. It's in a residential…
