Plantation Oaks Senior Living Residence

Plantation Oaks Assisted Living and Memory Care has been an incredible place for my mother over the past three years. The administration and caregivers consistently provide services with such compassion and respect, making the residents feel truly cared for. The food is excellent, and the variety of activities offered keeps the residents engaged and happy. The facilities are always impeccably clean, which speaks volumes about the dedication of the staff. One of the most reassuring aspects is the consistency in staffing. Seeing familiar faces every day brings comfort and stability to the residents, to their families and it reflects the strong leadership at Plantation Oaks. I couldn’t be more grateful for the exceptional care my mother has received in Plantation Oaks.

They try to excel, but come up short. Sometimes there are not enough care staff to attend to everyone that needs them. My father's room was often dirty and I cleaned it myself. He had ants a couple of time. Also, his blinds broke and were never replaced despite my alerting them to the issue. He usually had laundry from other patients, was missing his own towels. It was next to impossible to get someone to help him shave or get him a haircut. I finally had to give up that fight. Be sure that you understand that they will not attend to medical issues that arise (ie. a cut or abrasion needing a bandaid). If your loved one is at risk of falling, they will automatically call EMTs when they do and may or may not include your input to decide if they need to be sent to the ER.

While this place appears to be clean, friendly, and great senior activities . . . It does not have Great prices for the stay. They make all of it sound great to get new residents in and then they up the cost so drastically that even with 2 jobs and the seniors retirement money you can’t afford to keep your loved one here. I honestly believe it’s wrong to up the cost twice in one year. $[removed]/month seems a bit much. This is sad to have to make the decision to bring your loved one home because they raise the cost so much you can’t keep them there.

The community is incredible and the staff has been here for a while and you tell. Communication was good between the staff and our family and our family. They kept us well informed and up to date. I would recommend this community to others.

I am newly retired and love southern gospel and bluegrass music. I was looking to bring music to those who would appreciate good heartfelt Christian oriented and uplifting songs from the "Good old days " . When I first walked through the door to inquire about playing songs for the folks there...I was overwhelmed by the staff and the approach of kindness I received. I very much look forward to hearing back from this facility and the opportunity to make a pleasurable time meeting those that mean so much to their families and friends. I hope to become their friend also. Thank you to the staff..whether they choose to have me for entertainment. Keep up the good work. Keith (Flat-top)
