I want to start off by saying that not everyone who works here is disrespectful or ignorant. I have met some great nurses and CNAs here. I also acknowledge that the environment in any nursing home will never be a pleasant experience, I wasn't expecting perfection when I came here. I'm 20 years old, I'm in a wheelchair, and was sent here for rehab after breaking my femur. I've been living here for two months, and I'll be leaving next week. I almost scrapped this entire review, thinking it's pointless, but I want to speak up about my experience. There are some people who work here consistently but most of the time you will have a new aid and nurse every morning, day, and night. So each time is a new learning experience for your nurse and CNA. I take a very special and **expensive** medication that must be taken a very specific way at the exact same time every night. All but a few nurses have forgotten to administer this medication to me. I've complained about this issue several times but there has been no improvement. If you request to change or put an order in for different medications, your request will not be heard. They will forget about you and carry on to the next patient. I've suffered from Morphine withdrawal symptoms, insomnia, depression and anxiety. I've asked for medications to remedy these issues but nothing was done. I've also been denied my nightly medication before, and had to call the Director of Nursing for help. The food here is terrible. You don't have a say in what you eat, and it lacks any flavor, so I stuck to ordering takeout. They also have an ant problem. CNAs will talk as if you're not in the room, demean and undermine you, etc. You are not a person to them. Some will treat you respectfully and show empathy, but nothing will make the CNAs and nurses who talk down to you any less degrading. I have heard employees talk behind my back, call me "bitchy, " and "demanding" when I'm frustrated for waiting so long to get help. You're also neglected a lot. I've sat in a bed pan for over an hour before, waiting for help. I called the front desk multiple times but all they do is page a different desk that no one is there to answer. The pain was excruciating and I lost feeling in my legs. I cannot put it lightly, but if you are a person of sound mind coming here, your experience will be miserable. You're lucky if you have family come to visit you and take care of you, but not everyone has that privilege. You're sent to rot in here. I heavily advise anyone considering to put a family member in a nursing home to think twice. And if you are a different case like me, a disabled person, I am so sorry for you. No one deserves to live like this, at any stage of life.

This was one of the worst places I've been to. My mother was there for a month for rehabilitation. When she first went in she was transferred from the hospital where she had been on life support. She was wearing diapers and couldn't do anything for herself. I live over a hour away so I couldn't be there everyday. This place was so bad. They wouldn't change her, called her stinky.... And complained anytime she had a bowel movement. Made her feel like she was so nasty for not being able to go to the toilet. They would throw her dirty soiled laundry in the corner where it would stay for days. Anytime I visited there were screams coming from behind closed doors.... My mother went hours and hours without being given anything to drink. I would call and they would hang up on me or tell me they could t transfer me to her room. I finally had to get the maintenance worker to go fix her phone myself one day while visiting. She fell 3 times while there twice hitting her head and they never even told me, not to mention she laid in the floor for 10 mins after pulling the call light and had to scream help to get help. Some days she would push her call light and it was 30 mins or longer before anyone came. She asked to have help to the toilet one night and the nurse responded with" at 10 o'clock at night???" And never helped her...she had to poop on herself which was forced on her many times because she couldn't walk to the bathroom.. Like who controls when they have to use the toilet???? . The first time she said she slept a entire day afterwards. She was having blood pressure issues and heart rate issues... Being too low. And they weren't even checking her vitals like they were suppose to be. The social worker Izzy did nothing to help my mom, the director of nursing Debbie did nothing to help my mother... The people who had no family .. were even more neglected. I called almost everyday complaining. Nothing was done. I called the state... They went in and spoke to my mom and still did nothing because they wanted to mention her name to staff and I was afraid of retaliation.. toward the end of her stay when she was better.. she took some photos and sent them to me.... But then got in trouble and was forced to delete them. If your facility isn't doing anything wrong why did she have to delete the photos. This place is disgusting and the workers are horrible and unprofessional needs to be closed down!!!!!!!
