I got cut off because my mom's phone is not working well. I called back, within working hours,and no answer. After a half an hour of calling with no answer I selected option 3 on there switchboard hoping someone would finally pick up. Instead I got a lady who used to work there cell phone. She had no Idea her cell phone was an option. So I kept calling for another 45 minutes. Finally the admin answers and tells me my parents don't want to…

I called to let my parents Carmella Anne & John Vincent Beirne Know I was going in for cancer surgery. The message was passed on and my mother called back. I got cut off because my mom's phone is not working well. I called back, within working hours,and no answer. After a half an hour of calling with no answer I selected option 3 on there switchboard hoping someone would finally pick up. Instead I got a lady who used to work there cell phone. She had no Idea her cell phone was an option. So I kept calling for another 45 minutes. Finally the admin answers and tells me my parents don't want to talk to me. When I told her they had called me that day, she bold faced lied to me and swore on heaven she watched my mother the whole time and my mother never called me. So now I go into surgery not knowing if I'll make it and the admin of this place could care less about telling my parents.
I strongly recommend Magnolia Senior Living. It's the staff that takes care of my sister that has impressed me. The staff genuinely takes interest in my sister's unique needs. If you are evaluating a facility for a loved one focus on the staff that will actually be care for you loved one. It will make all the difference in their comfort and well-being. If there is high turnover in the support staff then the staff is probably not happy. If the staff isn't happy in what they are doing your loved ones probably will not be happy there. This why I have been impressed with Magnolia.
I'm unable to delete my previous review, so here are my latest thoughts. My mom's dementia has progressed to the point that she's requiring more intimate personal care. Being embarassed, that is a very uncomfortable situation for her having this very personal attention. She has resisted and become combative resulting in the staff refusing to work with her and management requesting her departure.

We recently moved my mom into Magnolia Senior Living. It is a beautiful, clean facility with a very kind and friendly staff. Lee made the move-in process stress free. We feel very Blessed to have found a nice place for my mom. It has a very warm and inviting feel. All of the staff have been very attentive and welcoming. My mom has enjoyed the food too.
We chose Magnolia Senior Living as a new home for my Mother-in-Law early this year (2024) and couldn't be happier! It's small and personal where the staff know all their tenants and take such loving and good care of them. Over this year, I have visited frequently, and every time, the staff is so personal, talking with me, checking on her, helping with any questions (she has many!) and assisting her. Her room and all of the facilities are neat and clean everytime I go. They also remind her when it's meal time or there is an activity she likes to do. She has made great friends she sees at meals, activities and for short walks. While everyone's needs are different, choosing this place has been an excellent home for her. and excellent peace of mind for us!
Magnolia was wonderful!The only thing that my mother ever complained about was that there weren't a whole bunch of activities. But it's such a small facility that it's hard to get people to do things. The activities they did do we're done very well though.
My mother could not have had a better senior living experience than the one she had at Magnolia. The staff quickly became extended family! Sherell, Ka, Bernadette, and Antonia and many others were so attentive and caring! The spotless environment was warm and inviting. Mom felt at home. She also felt safe and secure. My family and I will always be grateful for the happy times she had at Magnolia Senior Living.
We visited many places but Magnolia is where dad and I felt was the best fit. They have been great to work with and they even helped figure out insurance issues. Thank you for all you do!
