Assisted Living and Memory Care in Mayo, with spaces to feel at home and support for your next chapter.
Ask about this communityHomewood Lodge ALF is an assisted living community in Mayo, Florida, in Lafayette County. Facility information identifies assisted living as its facility type and lists assisted living and memory care among its options; a separate listing notes a memory care unit or program. Its reported capacity is 36 beds. Studios and semi-private rooms are named, and the facility describes its setting as home-like. These details outline the stated size, care categories, and two room formats.
Care information describes personalized assistance around the clock and help with activities of daily living. More specifically, listed services include medication management, incontinence care, diabetic care, and support for people who are non-ambulatory. The service categories range from general daily-living assistance to specific forms of health and mobility-related support. Assisted living and memory care are both identified as care options, though the available information does not describe separate routines or programming for each.
Dining is described as a central program, with three meals each day and snacks; a separate service listing also confirms that meals are provided. This gives a basic picture of the stated meal arrangement and daily frequency. Housekeeping and laundry are listed among the services as well, adding household support alongside dining and personal assistance. The facility’s description of a home-like setting complements these practical details without specifying additional room features.
Daily recreational, social, and educational activities are listed. On-site devotional activities and off-site activities are also identified, distinguishing activities held at the residence from those taking place elsewhere. Indoor common areas are listed as an amenity, providing a shared interior setting in addition to the scheduled activity categories. The information names these different types of activities but does not provide a calendar or descriptions of individual events.
Respite or short-term stays are listed alongside the residential care options. This adds a temporary-stay arrangement to the community’s stated offerings, separate from the studio and semi-private room formats. The available information does not give further details about the length or terms of a respite stay, so the supported description is limited to its availability as a listed option. Together, the room types and short-term-stay listing describe different aspects of the accommodation choices.
English and Spanish are listed as languages spoken, and the facility is listed as accepting Medicaid. These details complement the reported 36-bed capacity and the descriptions of care, meals, activities, housekeeping, and laundry. The community’s information thus identifies its location, care options, room formats, selected daily services, and the languages and payment program named in its listing.

Staff was very helpful! Clean and very nice facility
We’ve been very pleased with the care they’ve given my mother in law. The ladies there are super sweet and always helpful.
Bailey was the woman who greeted us and showed us around Homewood Lodge. She was amazing. The facility itself is an open area and it is very nice. It looks like a lodge. The problem is their residents are very mobile. They're everywhere and my mother is not. She has to have a walker and she's going blind, and they don't have the staff to guide her around, so it just wouldn't work out at all. The common areas were very nice and very spacious. The rooms were small, and one problem I have with the rooms is the divider. It is a wooden wall between the two beds. It's not a curtain that you can…

So, she would not have been able to watch TV, because she can't see it from that side. If she was more mobile and she wasn't losing her vision, she would have been happy there.
These people especially someone by the name of Rebecca are very rude and disrespectful. take caution when signing contracts with them. Even though I contract is just a guideline Rebecca will push it as far as you can. When they decide they do not want your loved one with them anymore Rebecca will send them off to a hospital and not take them back and when you asked to be a reimbursed for the month Rebecca will tell you yes that is no problem. And when you call 35 days later because you still have not received the check Rebecca in a very snotty tone will tell you to refer to the contract and the contract says they have 45 days to reimburse you which is being rude and Petty.
Toured for an aunt the facility was lovely and the staff seemed very professional and welcoming.
Beautiful facility run by very lovely ladies
This is a great facility. One of the most caring staffs I have seen in an ALF.
For the last five years my sister has been a resident at Homewood Lodge. We are so thankful for the kind staff who consistently keeps us updated and treats Maureen as if she is family. When we bring her home for a few days for a visit she begins to let us know she is ready to go back to Homewood by saying Donna, and Latoya; names of two of the staff members at Homewood. We have always been concerned about how Maureen would adapt to new people due to her condition, but she fits right in and we are elated. We would like to say thank you to Michelle, Donna, Latoya, and the rest of the staff at Homewood Lodge for treating our family, like their own.
