As a provider working with senior living communities across the state, I have been thoroughly impressed by the staff at Grand Living at Coral Gables. Executive Director Lisette Valdez-Brito and the entire wellness team are doing an exceptional job. They provide their residents with the resources necessary to remain safe and age with dignity. Beyond offering luxury senior living, the team truly cares for the residents and treats them like family.

As a social worker, I’ve toured and worked with many senior communities, and I can confidently say that Grand Living sets a Ritz-Carlton standard for senior living. From the moment you walk in, the lush landscaping and beautifully designed spaces feel more like a luxury resort than a senior community. The amenities are unmatched: four on-site restaurants offering exceptional quality, diverse menus, and true culinary variety; a stunning pool and spa; and a vibrant calendar of planned activities ranging from arts and crafts to engaging speakers, educational presentations, and elegant holiday galas. There’s even a lively happy hour (complete with salsa dancing!) that brings so much joy and energy to the community. What truly elevates Grand Living, however, is the staff. They consistently go above and beyond, providing individualized care with thoughtful communication and genuine warmth. The memory care unit is especially impressive and top notch in every respect, with a dedicated team that works tirelessly to create a comfortable, dignified, and truly home-like environment for residents. Lisette, the director, is simply exceptional. She is personable, highly organized, and seemingly works around the clock to ensure everything runs seamlessly. Her communication is outstanding, and she treats every resident and employee with sincere respect and kindness. Her leadership clearly sets the tone for the entire community. Grand Living is not just senior housing...it’s elevated living with heart. I am beyond impressed.

Management allowed access by their employees to my mom's apartment and property worth over $5,000 was taken without permission. My mother had to be moved to another facility due to her health. Monthly rent of about $10,000 was paid through October 31, 2025. Some valuable items that were not taken by the moving truck were left behind in her locked and paid for apartment (through October 31, 2025) with the intent to return and pick them up before the end of the lease. When my husband went back to pick up the items, they were gone and it was later discovered that Grand Living let their employees in before the expiration of the lease, and allowed their employees to remove items from a paid for apartment. They took my mother's stuff from her $10,000 a month paid apartment! We asked Grand Living management to view cameras and no response. The only item found was her Christmas tree stand and two wreaths.

The staff is very friendly and warm. There is a consistency in staffing with little noticeable changeover. They know my mom by name and are familiar with her needs, likes and quirks all of which give me and her comfort. We enjoy the people who work there and they genuinely seem to enjoy what they do and us as well.
