My mother lost everything during Ian. Never told her once it’s a flood zone. No assistance fir the displaced folks. Cannot believe this has happened more than once and is still operational.

This is NOT a place you want your loved one to live; Shingle Creek floods!! My mother was there for hurricane IRMA 2017 and hurricane IAN 2022. My mother lost all her belongings and years of countless memories. Unclear, what transpired but my mother would have NEVER moved back if she had known there was still a potential flood risk. The most vulnerable in our community has suffered from gross negligence

My father-in-law is happy with Good Samaritan Society - Kissimmee Village West. He's been there for years. He's in independent living, and he has his own apartment. It's been mostly good. He moved there for his wife's care who had Alzheimer's, but she has since died. He likes the social environment and relative independence. He's in a one-bedroom apartment. It has a kitchen, living room, bedroom, and porch. It's ground floor. It's in a building that's nestled in some trees. It's very pleasant. It gets cleaned weekly, but generally, the grounds and the building, and the apartment are well kept. They did have a crisis with the hurricane where everybody had to leave and it was flooded. His apartment wasn't flooded, but a lot of the facility was flooded. He and everybody else was required to evacuate for a month, so that was kind of an inconvenience and a lot of people were not able to go back. There were trailers. It's a big facility, but his part was OK and it's well-maintained. He gets his meals there, and he's pretty pleased with the food. The dining area is quite nice. They have some exercise equipment. The computers are loaded with mental exercises and things like that. There are plenty of places to walk. He has access to a treadmill. He plays card games with other residents almost every day. They have a little chapel, so they have church services there and they have singing.

My dad was admite last night around 8pm on the rehab center. my dad call me this morning around 6:00 am to pick him up he had no walker, no wheelchair there were using his apnea machine has the oxygen when that machine is to be used only when there sleeping . the heat was not working when temperatures are cold today in Florida. My father is a risk fall paciente the nurse told me that they could not provide him with the walker or the wheelchair until the rehab technician or staff evalúate him then they would determined what he needs I ask her how is that possible when he his being pick up from the hospital to the rehab with diagnostic and paper with information of the paciente and what he needs . She denied giving me the release paper from hospital she only gave me his medication witch I have and said that what the hospital have her and a report which she could not give me . No vital we’re taken no meds my father is at this moment at the VA hospital with chest pain and a hard time breathing. This place apparently is good for paciente that are able to walk on there on the CNA that was with him very nice the nurse that had just started the shift nooooo , please my father was there because he needs to get a little strong not due to having family take care of him very unresponsive and don’t try to talk to the family like they don’t understand the protocols and I give only 1 start because it won’t give you the option to post with out it
