Fletcher Health and Rehabilitation Center

Probably the worst experience I have ever had living anywhere, ever. The only bright spot in my stay was the physical therapy and the wound care teams. I count it a blessing that I got sick and had to be transported to the hospital. I wouldn't recommend this facility to anyone. they need to do a lot of work to bring everything up to livable standards.

This was a horrible experience. The only positive was the staff for physical therapy. The rest of the experience was depressing. The place is not clean, it is understaffed and is not an uplifting place. I arrived on a Wednesday around 7pm from the hospital. There was no food available as the kitchen was closed. The bed was not working so I couldn't adjust it. The room was dark and the A/C wasn't on. When i would ring for someone to get me to the bathroom the wait was always 15 minutes or more. I informed them that I was on a GERD diet. Thursday morning I was brought a disgusting looking breakfast, none of which I would be able to eat. I explained again that I had to be on a GERD diet. I was told that the cook makes one thing for each meal, and that's what you get. No variations. I feel sorry for diabetics or those on other restrictive diets. The staff consisted of very young CNAs. I never met the doctor. Two nurses were on duty. The bathroom was disgusting with corroded fixtures and not cleaned from the Wednesday until Saturday when I checked out. I was given a hard time about leaving and told that I would not be able to get services from Humana if i left. That was a lie. I left on the Saturday and had home health and PT at home. Stay away from here. The staff show no interest in your well being or progress, no comforting words. I was so depressed that I cried .

called numerous times to see how this family member was doing. but each time was: please call back nurse are ready for lunch or dinner time, and when able to call and be transfer no one was available to take the call. the family member had three falls from his bed they had the decency to call me and let me know. when try to call back to see what happened the same thing not able to talk to the nurse responsible of this family member.

Please do not send your relatives here. My husband was here and we had to call 911 to get him out of there before he died. They never cleaned him. He was on feeding tube so he would soil himself. They put him in a diaper and left him like that one time for 9 hours. When we got him to ER, they had to scrub his scrotum because of caked on old poop. You have to make appointment to see them and you can’t go back to their room. The place is horrible and the employees just don’t care.

My grandmother is at Fletcher Health and Rehabilitation Center. They seem to have all the things that she needs like round-the-clock care, cleanliness, and well-trained staff. Also if she needs to go to the bank or wherever, she could ask for transportation. They have activities all the time, so I like the facility. Right now, activity is limited because of Covid, but they do a lot of art activities and outdoor exercise when the weather is good. They had just celebrated someone's birthday, so they had a small gathering in the courtyard like a barbecue for the residents.
