He was moved at 7:30 PM, Thursday night. At 8:00 AM Friday morning, my husband and I went to visit him. From the moment we walked into his room, my father was screaming, "They are scamming here! They are cheating!" Long story short, he pressed the call button at 2am. No one came and he ended up soiling himself. His disposable was changed eventually, but In 12.5 hours, only one person attended him before we arrived. My 8:30am request…

My father was transferred to Clermont Health & Rehabilitation (151 E Minnehaha Ave, Clermont, FL 34711) after two days in a step-down unit at South Lake Hospital. He was moved at 7:30 PM, Thursday night. At 8:00 AM Friday morning, my husband and I went to visit him. From the moment we walked into his room, my father was screaming, "They are scamming here! They are cheating!" Long story short, he pressed the call button at 2am. No one came and he ended up soiling himself. His disposable was changed eventually, but In 12.5 hours, only one person attended him before we arrived. My 8:30am request to transfer my father didn't happen until 5pm. The information they gave the other facility was inaccurate and prevented transfer. They refused to call an ambulance and I had to sign an AMA (against medical advice) document to discharge him and drive him to the ER myself. I would say more about this experience, but there is a 1k word limit on this review. Avoid this facility!
Westminster Care of Clermont was OK, and they accept Medicaid. My mom is on a waiting list there. The rooms are fine, and they had one room that they use for other things. The workers were very friendly and helpful, and the place was clean.
The place was clean and was well provided for the clients that lived there. Most of the staff did their jobs exceptionally well but there seemed to be some staff members that did not care about the clients and did their jobs half way. Still, the clients seemed to be happy and generally well taken care of. Not too many of the clients complained but when some did it was because they wanted their medicine fast or their food. However the place seemed worthy to help assist older people in their daily lives.
