That being said, I have visited Canterfield many times and witnessed the friendly, warm and inviting atmosphere when I visit this community. I've also had the opportunity to see the high level of Engagement, the seniors who live here experience. There's loads of opportunities for seniors to be engaged and enjoy their life living in this community. I would definitely recommend This community every senior I know including my grandmother.

We could not be happier with our decision to choose Canterfield of Fort Myers for my mom. Before making our decision, we toured numerous assisted living facilities throughout Lee county in Cape Coral. From the moment we walked into Canterfield, we knew it was different. During our first visit, we were impressed by the genuine warmth and respect the staff and management show not only to the residence, but also to one another. What truly stood out was the staffing management knew every resident by both first and last name, and the residents knew the staff by name as well. The level of familiarity and personal connection made us feel confident That our mom would be treated like family rather than just another resident. The activities, care, and attention provided to the residence are truly outstanding. Knowing that my mom is happy, engaged, and so well cared for gives our Family tremendous peace of mind. We highly recommend Canterfield Fort Myers to anyone looking for an assisted living community, where compassion, professionalism, and exceptional care are evident every day.
After I spent a night in the hospital and my husband was home alone I knew I had to find a place for him to stay where they understood Alzheimers patients and that is what I found at Canterfield Memory Care. He has been going to day stay and has also spent time there in respite care. He has been well cared for and the staff made it easy for me to leave him.

Canterfield of Fort Myers is a good place. When I was looking for respite care for a loved one, I was blessed to be connected to Jessica Arizmendi. She was and continues to be helpful, caring, resourceful, friendly and always available when I need something. After respite, 6 months ago, it was decided that Canterfield was was a great facility for my loved one. The staff is terrific. The administrators, receptionists at the front desk, fabulous cooks and food servers, activities director, medical staff, patient advocate, maintenance and more are very caring and professional. I thank everyone for their kindness and professionalism that is so important to all of the residents.
One of the nicest places I’ve been, Jessica, the manager takes great care of all the people. Everyone is always happy and their customer service is always excellent. They truly go above and beyond, and I recommend this place to all of my clients, family and friends. I love visiting this place whenever someone is in need of a mobile notary as well, I provide these services and trust me knowing I’ll get the job well done. Thank you!
This is a beautiful building with wonderful amenities, but what sets this place apart from others is truly their staff. They are extremely knowledgeable and caring for their residents. From the moment you walk in the front doors, you feel welcomed and at home.
We moved my sister (84), from a dementia care community to the dementia care at Canterfield 2 months ago. The move was prompted by the severe decline in her overall health. She had developed a very severe dystopia of her neck, along with several bad falls. The last fall, resulted in 7 staples in the back of her head. Jessica Arizmendi sales marketing director welcomed us with warmth and understanding. She made the move in smooth and worked with our urgent need to move her on a very short notice. We are absolutely pleased with the care and improvement in her. The entire staff interaction with her has brought her back to being a pleasant woman. She is smiling and enjoying the new experiences offered. We will recommend Canterfield without hesitation.
We brought my father-in-law at very short notice to Canterfield. His cancer had very quickly progressed and we need a different setting where he could receive hospice support. Jessica and the rest of the staff here were incredibly responsive and helped us to transition very quickly. They also provided us with friendly advice that proved very helpful as we did our best to help our father-in-law. I highly recommend this facility and the staff, especially Jessica, who manages sales and transitions. What a wonderful place.
