Moving here has changed how I view and interact with other people and residence at Brookdale. I have engaged in many activities here which has driven me to be more responsible and positive about myself, mind and body. It's also encouraged me to be more thoughtful, kind and passionate about others around me. It's inspired me to get more involved and determined in making our lives here better.
My mom has been here about a month, and she loves it. She moved in about two weeks after my aunt, and they both enjoy the activities, other residents, and peaceful location very much. The management has been friendly and helpful and she speaks highly about all aspects of the facility.

The community is clean and well kept. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The food is fantastic and the dining area feels like a normal restaurant.
I will move into Brookdale Southside. It was very well designed and kept up. People were busy. They weren't just sitting and watching television. There was quite a bit of activity going on. One day, we were there, and people were having a yard sale. The staff was very knowledgeable. She could answer my questions without going to somebody else. She would explain as much as I was willing to listen to. She would explain a lot of activities that take place. I saw the menu, and I saw people being served. I saw a meal being delivered to someone in one of the villas who didn't choose to come in that day.
I never lived nor experienced anything there but my mom works there and says that so many nurses quit because of how inappropriate old people treat them.
I am resident here at Brookdale Southside and have been living here for over a year. I've learned so many new things like painting and I have made a lot of new friends
The staff have been professional, and you can see that they genuinely like what they are doing. They have met my brothers needs. The memory care unit is cheerful, and clean. Phone calls have been returned in a timely manner. I would recommend this facility if your family member needs placement.
