Bridgewater Park Health & Rehabilitation Center

I went to Bridgewater Park. I was impressed with the staff and ratio because they only have 20 people in the whole facility. It's a very large facility because they have all levels. They have independent living, assisted living, and memory care. And that right next door they have a nursing home. It's all one. They have their own care providers and everything. So, that was one of the things that we liked about it. It's very new. It's very impressive. And it's pretty much in the price range of all the other ones that we looked at. In some cases, they would have been cheaper than some of them that we looked at, and we were just very impressed with them. My wife, even though my mother-in-law wasn't going to be here for another month and a half at the time, signed the contract right then, and they gave us a 30-day leeway. And we've already started paying for the room. But my mother-in-law is not even there yet. It's extremely clean. There was a lot of staff there taking care of 20 people. They have an activities director, who is a retired school teacher. I was very impressed with her. She's got people involved. I met their medical director there and the director of the facility. Their dining room looks like the finest restaurant in town. It's beautiful. This place is gorgeous. And the courtyard has a koi pond. It's a pretty community.

My aunt loved Bridgewater Park when she was there for rehab. She would love to go back, so I was going to go and talk with them to see if they have a bed for her in their long-term care facility. It was wonderful. I went on a weekend and they took time to show me the facilities, the gym where they did their PT, and the rooms and what they looked like. Each room was a private room, which my aunt loved. While she was there, the care was excellent even though she was a little feisty. I liked that place, so I was disappointed that they weren't able to take her at that time for long-term care. They had a full calendar of activities. She just chose not to participate. The staff was excellent. When we called for assistance or something, they were there immediately. That's what I liked about it. They interacted with her very well. I was impressed with Bridgewater. The facilities were clean. The people were very, very helpful. She's 96, I think she deserves to be in a caring place, and I think Bridgewater is that place. I don't know about their long-term facility. I'm just talking about the rehab side, and I found it to be excellent. I was pleased with the value for money.

My sister is at Bridgewater Park. It's a very nice place. They look after her well. It's a new place. The meals are good. They have a bunch of functions going on all the time, like bus trips, ice cream socials, bingo, and other things that keep people busy. They have music and movie nights. They seem to have some turnover, and that's not the best thing. I got to know one staff member in particular, and she seemed to be very nice. In most of the assisted living places, the pricing is pretty much the same, which I feel is too high. My sister is in a studio apartment. It has a microwave and a refrigerator.

My sister-in-law has moved into Bridgewater Park. She's in the memory care unit. The staff is fantastic with her there. They bring her in to participate in whatever things are occurring. The staff takes very good care of her. The room is very comfortable. Her family got her brand-new furniture inside her room. She has a shower and a bedside chair, so she's doing well. She's actually in an open area where you have the rooms on the sides. There is a dining area there, which is very nice. There's an activity area also, which is basically near the dining room, and then there's a lounge. Down the center you have quite a few chairs where visitors come and they can sit. It's very new and very modern. You have everything that you would need there. You have the memory care unit, you have rehab, and you have the ALF. There's also a nursing home. It's expensive. It's really a topnotch place to be at.

I went to Bridgewater Park. I like the set-up of the rooms. I wanted a two-bedroom, and they had a nice one that I liked. I liked the balconies. And it's close to where my friends are. The staff were very friendly. It seemed like a pleasant atmosphere. The food seemed good. That's where I was planning to go. Their courtyard was nice, too.
