While trying to defend himself, he cut his foot on his walker and his wound is taking longer to heal because he has diabetic neuropathy. This man jumped on my uncle in the middle of the night over snack cakes.The incident was brushed under the rug and his attacker was moved across the hall without any penalty. There is a pungent urine odor that clings to your nostrils and the residents complain that they are starving. If you love your family please DO…

If I could give this place zero stars I would! My blind diabetic uncle was attacked by his roommate and the staff did nothing to protect him. I contacted this place for two days trying to check on my mom left messages with no answer or nor response as I picked her up I was in disbelief to what I witnessed the place smell like urine her bed sheets were dirty and she had on the same gown for two days but not to mention some of her clothes were missing , when I packed a bag with everything she needed she still was not cared for considering she can’t even dress herself. She cried when she saw me and it wasn’t because of sadness it was because relief her first words were Get Me Out of Here! She was neglected and not cared for please this was truly heartbreaking as a caregiver DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE

It should be Zero Stars, this place should be investigated for misuse of personal funds, caring for of a loved one, personal items being stolen and not taking care of. Then another reason, family tried to come see our loved one and they didn't allow it, blamed it on the family. Management, People or someone needs to be investigated. It's a shame this is a place we in trust our loved ones and they allow them to just sit and waste away without proper care. I WOULD LIKE THE CEO OF THIS PLACE TO REACH BACK OUT WITH A PHONE OF CONTACT TO LET US OPEN UR EYES BEHIND THIS PLACE
Best Care Senior Living at Central Tampa was okay. It was pretty much on lockdown because I think a lot of patients there have dementia or Alzheimer's. However, it's not very well kept. If it was, that urine smell wouldn't be all over the facility, especially where the residents reside. The staff members were interacting with some of the patients. They did what they were supposed to do when they gave us a tour. They explained how things work. Their patio area was very small. They also lock the doors around 7 so that the residents can't go out. The rooms were not big, and they didn't have private rooms. All of them were shared at $2800 a month.
Best Care is probably one of the worst assisted livings I've had the displeasure of coming across. If you don't believe me, you can easily go to the AHCA website, search their name and see all the violations and fines they've accumulated just over the last few years. Elopement, medication issues, staff not being able to identify residents who have issues, staff not having the proper training. I have no idea how this facility keeps it license, sad. Administrator couldn't care less, just lines the pockets of the owners I guess.
