Bartram Lakes Assisted Living

Today is my second day, I am private care and the room was dirty, client was dirty and the smell. Lights burned out in bathroom and it is daytime so the staff says it's fine I can see, but what about at night? No one knows how to contact maintenance, one mid afternoon staff kitchen/aid will while clients are waiting to eat, only help who she wants to help. Must be nice to have a job where you can choose to be rude or nice to elderly clients paying your check.. This is Very unfriendly place. There are nicer places out there. Asking A Care Pro which facilities they like? This one will never be mentioned. I would never want to stay here. Some of the staff are doing there best, but hard to carry a full load when you're co-workers are very ignorant.

Bartram lakes assistant living is TERRIBLE! The administrator Felix has zero concerns about patient care in this building. Nurses & med technicians are there not passing the medications according to how they are supposed to in the MAR and narcotic books aren’t signed properly during shifts and that is a huge issue for the well being of patients. I chose to pick up here and refused to take a cart behind a nurse who didn’t sign out his narcotics. He also left medications in the hallways and in rooms unattended and when I asked him to account for what he left he started to get into an uproar. The administrator Felix seen everything he did and still put me on a DO NOT RETURN list all because I was worried about the safety of my patients! I would advise anyone to turn away from this building until they are provided with an administrative team that cares. I go above and beyond for my patients I am agency but I love on everyone of my patients as if I am their family. This hurts because I did nothing wrong but it’s nothing I can do. Best of luck to anyone there in that facility and to the families I pray all goes well and smoothly.

My mother was a resident at the Greenhouse for over 5 years and she passed away in 2025. My wife and I were there multiple times a week, my wife more than I so we got a very good first hand experience of the care at the Greenhouse. My Chidren and granchild often visited too. My siblings were there off and on as they live far out of town but on their behalf I think they would concur with my review. I have to tell you that without exception these are some of the most kind, godly, sweet, caring people on the planet. We came to know some of them and they ended up feeling like part of our family. A few of them even came the Celebration of Life shortly after she passed. I love them. My mother had vascular dementia but remained very high functioning especially with her social skills so she engaged with the staff daily for the entire 5 years. She was in very bad condition before she entered the Greenhouse but after a 3 month settling in period with really good patient care she was in way better shape than when she lived in her house the previous 5 years. They adjusted and reconfigured all of hers meds and got all of her chronic ailaments under complete control giving her the best quality of life. We certainly couldn't have done it without them. Everything about that place was great. The vibe when you walk in with the huge kitchen, the smell of home cooked food, the lounge chairs with TVs, a large family dining room table, an outdoor patio with often times music playing in the backgound made it the absolute best for geriatric care. They even have a beauty salon for residents in the back. This is not by any means your grandmother's "Nursing Home" There is a staff of 24 hour RNs as well as 3 Shabaz at, as they call them (CNAs), at any one time during the day for about 9 or 10 residents, so the ratio for provider to patients is fantastic. There are monthly visits from a house doctor and one of the best hospitals in Jacksonville, Baptist South, is right across I-95, a 4 minute ride, which happened quite often with my mom. I loved and so did my mom, the 3 meals day eaten at the large spacious dining room table overlooking the lake in back. i very often sat at the table with my mom and ate. All the residents were at the table at the same time to give you that old school family atmosphere. The food was great. I very often would ask my mom, who by the way was clearly the CEO of our family growing up, how she liked it there and she would very often say " Oh this is wonderful, I dont have to cook or clean or do laundry, this is great" and she meant it. She was a no BS kinda lady her entire life, ask the Greenhouse people, they're chucklin right now shaking their heads "Yes"as they read this. They often had special events too with music and special meals on holidays, with great decorations. Well done! Overall and unquestionably this is 5 solid, unwavering stars for the Stars at the Greenhouse.
