3.8 · 5 reviewsI checked A1 Care Systems, but they can't take my dad right now, they don't want to wait for the VA to do the paperwork, and want $1000 for the move-in. But my dad doesn't have the money. The staff is really good, clean, and neat, but my dad doesn't have the money he's looking for, that's $1000 to move in, and $3800 a month. The private rooms are a little small, but the semi-private rooms aren't bad, because they're medium-sized rooms. The food looked to be pretty good, and it's decent. The facility is nice and clean, they have people who clean, and it's very neat.
Ignored, overmedicated, robbed financially. $2500 to stay two weeks and then [name removed] acted for normal dementia behavior. Because if [name removed] acted they can keep all your money, contract states. Elders are told go to your room, when they just want to come out. It's a scam, pulled on the elderly.

They assist the residents with different appointments and take the residents shopping. This is what I call home

I've been here at A1 Care Systems for almost two years now. They are the only one that would take me. It's been really good so far. They let me do almost anything I want to. I took coupons from the VA for the veterans overseas. I got a computer to play with. I go out and do a little walking to the store. I think it is nice, and it is just like a home. This is a small facility, and they are nice people. I never bothered to visit any other facility. I'm happy, and I'm staying here.
Once she went in there I stepped out of it but she's still there as far as I know and she has her normal complaints but she had those with me. They help her with anything she needs. A guy came out to my house and talked to her there with me, I talked to her about it and everything and she said she wanted to talk to him. She had choices and can make decisions for herself and this was the place she chose to go to, when it came to a yes or no she chose him. He told us it was brand new and nobody was there yet. They gave me prices and info and this seemed like the best option even though it takes all of her check it gives ehr everything she needs.
